The Haberdashery Donkey

This full scale prototype is a modern development of an Isokon donkey, a storage unit fit for a specific purpose. This Haberdashery donkey allows a wide range of sewing equipment to be stored in one place. When this working project is produced, the Haberdashery Donkey would be made out of plywood and flexible plywood to create a natural aesthetic, which would suit any desired work environment or studio space.With a combination of shelving, dowels to hang scissors on, a routed top for cotton threads as well as a space to store a sewing machine, it enables easy access to all sewing essentials. The incorporation of handles also means it is easy to transport to any desired location.
