Loop, Disco & Supernova

Planter and coaster product collection designed and made in collaboration with Dual Works

Loop planters are made from CNC Cut plywood rings, stacked together to form the right height for the plant to fit into. The plywood rings are formed together with bungee cord, meaning the planter is easy to hang and there is no need for glue or other joints. The bungee cord creates a pop of colour against the plywood grain as well as a complimentary colour contrast to the Formica top and bottom.

To reduce waste, the Disco Coasters are made from inner circles created when producing the plywood rings for the Loop planters. The addition of the dowel in the middle, means all of the Discos can stack easily and are all kept in one place.

When arranged together, the Supernova coasters form a star shape, creating a perfect practical tabletop centre piece. When the coasters are not in use, the star shape can be used as a placemat for larger objects, such as teapots. Due to the shape of the coasters, the sides can line up to also be arranged in other formations.
